Relax. Swim. Golf. Kayak. Barbecue. Enjoy.
As the largest lake in Southern Ontario, Lake Simcoe is an historic and renowned recreational & fishing destination, both summer and winter — when the lake freezes over for exceptional ice fishing and winter sports.
The Hedges is a lakefront property on exclusive Hedge Road, on the South Shore of Lake Simcoe, near Jackson’s Point, Ontario. It is “next door” to renowned Sibbald Point Provincial Park — and on the Lake Simcoe (bike) Trail.
Just an hour’s drive north of downtown Toronto, The Hedges is a quick and easy escape.
The Hedges is a classic Lake Simcoe Vacation Home, updated with everything you’d expect, and more. Featuring 4+ bedrooms, three baths, central air-conditioning, high-speed internet access and more, this lakehouse can comfortably accommodate six to eight people.
With a private lakefront featuring a traditional garden glider, multilevel decks, and dock with comfortable chairs, as well as a spacious & secluded garden, The Hedges‘ grounds provide a lovely oasis for vacation relaxation and rejuvenation.
Just a little further on, nearby Jackson’s Point and Sutton provide a variety of restaurants and places to shop, a Sunday morning Farmer’s Market, and ice cream!
Walk a few steps the other way from The Hedges’ front gate to the neighbouring historic St. George’s Church, and the almost 600 acre Sibbald Point Park with its museum, forest paths, big sandy beaches and more.
A little further afield are forest tracts, great biking, and other hamlets and towns to explore.
The Hedges is available for a minimum 31 day booking, once a summer. And limited rentals in other seasons of the year — minimum five weeks. This change is a result of recent by-law additions in the Town of Georgina.
An annual multi-week booking would give you and your nearest and dearest all the joys of an incomparable cottage experience and none of the initial outlay, or ongoing concerns — an hour from downtown Toronto.
There’s lots to enjoy at The Hedges and the surrounding area. Did we say it is just an hour from Toronto? Just pack your bags, pick up your groceries, and enjoy!
